Azizi Bank provides financial assistance for Empowering Afghan Women

Azizi Bank supported a grand event titled “Empowering of Afghan Women through Access to Financial Services” as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The event was organized by the Ministry of Women Affairs held at the auditorium of the Ministry on 25th April 2017 & was attended by more than 200 representatives from various women business organizations and other sectors.

While speaking on the occasion, Vice President & Deputy CEO of Azizi Bank – Mr. Mohammad Osman Nowrozi appreciated the efforts and hard work of the businesswomen and provided a financial support of USD 2000 for empowering the Afghan women. In addition, Mr. Nowrozi also assured that Azizi Bank will introduce special small and medium terms loans to businesswomen in the near future.

Meanwhile, Her Excellency Mrs. Spozhmai Wardak, Deputy Minister (Technical & Policy) at the Ministry of Women Affairs, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan appreciated Azizi Bank’s continuous support for empowering the Afghan Women through various initiatives.

H.E Mrs. Wardak firmly mentioned that the Ministry of Women Affairs will utilize the given money to purchase cell phones for the deprived women, who will be able to transfer mobile top up cards, electricity bills and transfer money within Afghanistan, through Etisalat M-HAWALA Program, which will be a reasonable source of income for them.
